LINCOLN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE

The Indian Institute of Digital Art & Animation (IIDAA) is affiliated to the Lincoln University College. Its courses are affiliated to Lincoln University College, Malaysia. The Institute follows the syllabus and course structure constituted by the LUC. The University conducts all end term examinations and also awards degrees to successful candidates. Lincoln University College, Petaling Jaya was established in 2002 as Lincoln College (LC) and upgraded in 2011. Lincoln University College is one of the premier private institutions of higher education approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA- National Accreditation Board). The University College is situated in the cosmopolitan town of Petaling Jaya Near Kelana Jaya LRT Station, which is 10 kilometers West of the capital city, Kuala Lumpur.

The founders and administrators of Lincoln are true academicians who are committed to help the students to achieve their potential in the education, research and employment world of this exciting new millennium. They bring together almost fifty years of higher education, post secondary education and language teaching experience. Their backgrounds include teaching, research and professional training. LINCOLN focus is student centered and student-directed. LUC Multi Exit System  

The Lincoln University College (LUC) has launched a scheme on skills development based higher education as part of college/university education, leading to BA Creative Multimedia Technology Degree with multiple exits such as Diploma / Advanced Diploma under the MQA. The BA Creative Multimedia Technology program is focused on universities and colleges providing undergraduate studies which would also incorporate specific job roles and their NOSs along with broad based general education. This would enable the graduates completing Degree to make a meaningful participation in accelerating India’s economy by gaining appropriate employment, becoming entrepreneurs and creating appropriate knowledge.

 

Objectives 

  • To provide judicious mix of skills relating to a profession and appropriate content of General Education. 
  • To ensure that the students have adequate knowledge and skills, so that they are work ready at each exit point of the program. 
  • To provide flexibility to the students by means of pre-defined entry and multiple exit points. 
  • To integrate MQA within the undergraduate level of higher education in order to enhance employ-ability of the graduates and meet industry requirements. Such graduates apart from meeting the needs of local and national industry are also expected to be equipped to become part of the global workforce. 
  • To provide vertical mobility to students coming out of 10+2 with vocational subjects.

 

Levels of Awards

The certification levels will lead to Diploma/Advanced Diploma/ BA Creative Multimedia Technology Degree in one or more vocational areas and will be offered under the aegis of the University. This is out-lined in Table I.

INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR STANDARDIZATION (ISO) CERTIFIED INSTITUTE

The Indian Institute of Digital Art & Animation has successfully met all of the ISO Accreditation requirements needed to be a certified institution offering higher Education in the field of Art, Design, Animation, Photography & Media Studies, and as a result has been awarded Full ISO:9001:2008 Accreditation by ISO. The institute has been awarded Full Accreditation after evaluating if on ISO standards of the global best practices in Organizational Management, Academic Management, Academic Quality and Institutional Performance.

 

WEST BENGAL STATE COUNCIL OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION

Indian Institute of Digital Art & Animation is the only institute in the Eastern Part of India which is recognized by the State Government Education Department. IIDAA is affiliated to WEST BENGAL STATE COUNCIL OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION since 2008.
